Selectec goes Nordic

The company announced it is expanding into the Nordic region with the launch of Selectec Nordic.

Select Technology (Selectec) announced the formation of Selectec Nordic, a joint venture with NordicDoc Solutions to drive digital transformation across the Nordic region. From its base in the UK, Selectec has a record of distributing print and document management software such as PaperCut, Square 9 and Foldr. The company also offers custom development via its award-winning, in-house development team.

Selectec Nordic will combine Selectec’s unique brand of outcome-based technical sales with NordicDoc’s in-depth knowledge of the local market.

Selectec is the longest established PaperCut ASC (Authorised Solution Centre) in Europe and 18 months ago Selectec was also offered ASC status in the Nordic region. While assessing the potential of the market, Selectec initially worked from the UK and used NordicDoc as a local partner.

However, it was always known that to fully replicate the success enjoyed in the UK, there would be a requirement to establish a significant full-time presence in the region, Selectec explained.

Paul Weston, Selectec’s Managing Director commented: “We were really impressed with the professionalism and quality of the NordicDoc team, so when it came to creating a Selectec franchise in the Nordics, they were the obvious partner.”

Ben McKean, EMEA Channel Director for Selectec added: “We’re really excited about the potential for Selectec Nordic. The combination of Selectec’s unrivalled product knowledge and support, along with NordicDoc’s local presence and intimate knowledge of the region, will provide a unique resource for Nordic resellers looking to implement digital transformation for their customers.”

Selectec is a design engineering company established in 1981 and now enjoys a reputation for technical excellence and innovation, especially in the print market. More recently, as the industry became more solutions oriented, Selectec’s focus turned from hardware to software. The company distributes its software via its global channel partners while also providing a range of associated professional services.
