BioService’s Alejandro Pedro talks to The Recycler

This month The Recycler caught up with BioService’s Alejandro Pedro, to find out more about the company, its origins and activities.

In issue 324 of The Recycler, which is currently on the way to our readers, we have published an interview with Alejandro Pedro where we asked him about what makes BioService so special and what the company stands for.

Today the company has twenty-four people employed and is an authorised waste manager to collect printer cartridges. Focused on collection from end users which gives BioService the opportunity to get all kinds of empties (popular ones and niche ones).

Pedro also reveals in his interview that the company is a Special Centre of Employment, that means that 96 percent of its workers are disabled people.

BioService is an active member and supporter of ETIRA, the European Toner and Inkjet Remanufacturers Association and been voted The Recycler’s “Collector of the Year” for the second successive year. The industries recognition of BioService’s service, social and environmental commitment.
