Apex has announced that it has resumed shipping of its 90X/95X cartridge series replacement chips and is offering updates through its Apex Unismart Service Platform.
HP launched the new firmware 2006/2007 at 5pm on 17 March 2020 to all HP printers used with 90X/95X series cartridges, causing all compatible chips on the market to fail on the upgraded printers.
On 18 March Apex detected the new firmware and immediately set out to put its response plan in motion to debug and verify its chip solution to beat the firmware update.
On 19 March, Apex was ready and launched the chip solution to global customers and resumed taking orders and beginning production of its latest solution.
Its Unismart System-based Firmware Upgrade Response Service Platform also sprang into action and meant that on 20 March, Apex released the remote synchronous chip upgrade solution for finished ink cartridges worldwide.
The upgraded chips can now be used in the printers with the latest firmware.
Apex launched in October 2019 its Unismart Service Platform which integrates hardware, software, and cloud services.
