Fuji Xerox Australia follows on the footsteps of Fuji Xerox New Zealand who took action against its former executives in 2017 relating to the accounting scandal.

In 2018 three of the initial defendants were named as Mark Donald Allright, Gavin Pollard and Neil Whittaker which were sued by the Japanese-based Fuji Xerox.

Fuji Xerox Australia revealed it is taking civil action against its former senior executives in the wake of the NZ$480 million ($354 million/ €295 million) accounting scandal which affected Xerox’s New Zealand and Australian subsidiaries.

In 2017, following the renewal of an investigation into the company by the Serious Fraud Office, several Fuji Xerox executives in New Zealand departed their positions at the company, including the company’s Chairman.

ARN reported that Fuji Xerox Australia’s former Managing Director Whittaker, has been named in new legal actions filed with the Federal Court of Australia. Former CFO, Devlin Bell, auditing firm Ernst & Young (EY) and E. A. Lang, who was a partner of EY were also named in the action.
