The online marketplace has received further removal requests by Canon for cartridges offered by NewYorkToner, ARDIYE BILGI TEKNOLOJILERI ELEK TIC LTD STI and Best Ink & Toner – Canada.
Canon Inc. announced the filing of an infringement report with Amazon.com seeking the removal of Amazon.com listings for certain toner cartridges sold by NewYorkToner for use in HP laser beam printers.
Canon’s infringement report alleged that certain model CE310A, CE311A, CE312A and CE313A toner cartridges sold by NewYorkToner via Amazon.com infringed Canon’s U.S. Patent No. 8,688,008. Canon requested that Amazon remove NewYorkToner’s listings for those products, namely, NewYorkToner’s listings with Amazon Standard Identification Numbers (“ASINs”) B012S969PU, B005YVMG9I, B012S1LJ9E, B012SCJZ4O, B012S0CLSI, B012S2EF4O, B012SHT8KK, B012S3YYEY, B012S5CRB4 and B012S72H9E.
At the time of this announcement, the above-identified NewYorkToner listings were no longer available on Amazon.com.
Also announced was the filing of a Report Infringement Form with Amazon.com.tr based on the alleged use of claims 1 and 25 of the Turkish portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407 regarding the cartridge model CE505X offered by ARDIYE BILGI TEKNOLOJILERI ELEK TIC LTD STI under the ASINs (Amazon Standard Identification Numbers) B07YTQ3D8K and B07YTQ3PD1. Afterwards, Amazon took down the respective product.
This product is compatible with the OEM HP cartridge model and provides inter alia a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing.
Furthermore, Canon announced the filing of an infringement report with Amazon.ca seeking removal of an Amazon.ca listing for certain toner cartridges sold by Best Ink & Toner – Canada.
Canon’s infringement report alleged that certain model CF210X, CF210A, CF211A, CF212A, CF213A, CE320A, CE321A, CE322A, CE323A, CB540A, CB541A, CB542A and CB543A toner cartridges sold by Best Ink & Toner – Canada via Amazon.ca infringed Canon’s Canadian Patent no. 2,635,791. Canon requested the removal of the corresponding listings for these products, having Amazon Standard Identification Numbers B07JGVYWPJ, B07LDH2XFM, B07LDG2V7V, B07LDGTQCM, B07LDHZZ3B, B07HHH749N, B07L377QVW, B07L36CZK1, B07L364BM2, B07L373DK7, B07L36GJS3, B07L2Y142B, B07L36L61Y, B07L37G9V2, B07L37LZ5X, B07L2HKYGD, B07L2JT6NV, B07L2JG9B7, B07L2HQWQT, B07L2H23R7, B07L2HYSRD, B07L2JKS1W, B07L2H4VW3 and B07L2J2WVL.
