Cartridge Evolution and Cliffside Park NJ launch an innovative recycling programme.

Cartridge Evolution partnered with Cliffside Park to encourage and promote recycling through the Monster Ink Cartridge Recycling programme. Ink cartridges can take 1000 years to decompose in a landfill; the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and heavy metals pollute the soil and water. Teaching children to actively recycle will ensure that future generations will keep our planet green for generations to come.

Wyman Xu of Cartridge Evolution joined Thomas Calabrese, Mayor of Cliffside Park, Sercan Zoklu, Boro Administrator and Michael Romagnino, Superintendent, to launch the Monster Ink Cartridge Recycling Programme at the Municipal Building.

Monster Bins will be placed in convenient locations around the Borough. Cartridge Evolution will collect and sort the cartridges monthly, then pay a premium to the borough for each cartridge recycled. The borough will be able to use the funds raised at their discretion.

Cartridge Evolution, founded in 2010 is a recycler of printer inkjet cartridges. Founder and CEO, Wyman Xu is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for supply chain efficiencies. His latest endeavours have him leveraging the benefits of circular economies for the sake of future generations. Cartridge Evolution is headquartered in the Army Terminal in Brooklyn, NY with a 20,000 square foot warehouse in Elizabeth, NJ.

Founded in 1895, Cliffside Park, was named for its location, “Park by the Cliffs”. Nestled atop the Hudson River, between the George Washington Bridge and Lincoln Tunnel, Cliffside Park is the perfect location for New York City commuters. U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg resided in the borough until his passing in 2013. Cliffside Park was home to the Palisades Amusement Park, which remained one of the most-visited amusement parks in the country until its closure in 1971.
