Metrofuser develops ReturnWatch programme

Laser printer parts manufacturer Metrofuser announced the development of its ReturnWatch programme for users of the Advance Exchange parts.

ReturnWatch will deliver timely information and notifications to the right people allowing organisations to manage returns easily through better decision making. In addition, the programme can help reduce shipping costs by providing intelligence for optimising parts returns.

“ReturnWatch will allow organisations that had trouble managing core returns in the past to take advantage of the many benefits of the advanced exchange parts logistics model,” said Will DeMuth, Chief Operating Officer.

Advance Exchange allows organisations to buy new and remanufactured parts at a 10%-20% discount as long as they promise to return the used parts that they are removing from the device within 30 days. The advantages of the advanced exchange service parts logistics model are numerous and include:

  • Remanufacturing contributes toward companies environmental initiatives
  • Reduced service parts costs by 20-50%
  • Improved parts availability
  • Improved margins

The advantages of buying parts on exchange can be overshadowed quickly by the complexity of managing the return process. While Advance Exchanged offers companies many advantages the benefits can vanish quickly if the returns are not handled timely.

The ReturnWatch programme will be enabled for all Metrofuser customers.
