The company has invested in a warehouse in Linbro Park, looking to reduce costs for distributors in South Africa.

In an interview with ITWeb, Epson South Africa’s National Sales Manager, Timothy Thomas, has revealed that the company has invested into growth in South Africa of which the warehouse location in Linbro Park is part of.

According to the article, the warehouse is a 4.5 square kilometre facility in the new logistics development at Ashworth Logistics Park, which at the moment stocks 80% of Epson’s product range. Also part of the growth strategy is a new large format printer showroom as part of the new facilities.

Thomas told ITWeb: “These are sizeable long-term investments into the growth of Epson within Southern Africa. This is a milestone achievement for Epson and a huge leap forward in improving our logistics infrastructure. We were previously only able to deliver stock in six to seven weeks, but now we can do so in just six to seven days.”

Epson is looking to have 100% of the product range available from this location and sees it as an opportunity to reduce costs for distributors, “which can now have products delivered straight to their warehouses.”
