Apex is investing in chip R&D

Zhuhai Apex Microelectronics Co., Ltd. intends to a total investment of ¥2.2 billion ($344 million/ €295 million) to build chip research and development related projects.

The company plans to sign an “Investment Agreement”, which stipulates that Apex Microelectronics plans to invest a total of ¥2.2 billion ($344 million/ €295 million) to build chip research and development related projects in the International Innovation Cooperation Zone.

The foreign investment fund comes from its own funds and does not involve connected transactions.

The announcement added: “This transaction will improve the development of Apex’s microelectronics chip project, link up with high-quality upstream and downstream resources, and improve the industrial layout is of great significance.”

Specific implementation still requires project approval, approval by relevant government departments, and acquisition of project construction land in accordance with national legal procedures.
