In its latest guide article, Zhono is offering a solution to clear the message alerts “Printing possible, but may Damage Drum Cartridge 1” displayed on Canon 053/059 series printers.

Zhono engineers found that when the toner chip for Canon 053/059 series is reaching its end, the message “Printing possible, but may damage Drum Cartridge 1” pops up on the screen (Figure 1). Tested models included the Canon LBP853Ci/LBP852Ci/LBP851C devices.

Zhono is offering the following solution:
Zhono engineers have verified and confirmed that when the “Printing possible, but may damage Drum Cartridge 1” pops up on the screen, the prompt will dismiss and operate correctly after refilling the toner and replacing the chip.

Note: When the “prompt Printing possible, but may damage Drum Cartridge 1/2/3/4” displays (Figure 2), please check if the corresponding toner cartridge is empty. If so, Zhono recommends to refill the toner and replace the chip.
