The company has released its latest financial results for the nine months period which ended 31 December 2021.

Sales revenue for the nine months increased by ¥255 billion ($2.2 billion/ €1.97 billion), or 23.2%, to ¥1,355 billion ($11.81 billion/ €10.49 billion), compared with the previous nine months, marking a record high for this nine-month period. In addition to the effects of increased sales revenue and Kyocera’s efforts to improve productivity and reduce costs in each business, the absence of an impairment loss of approximately ¥11.5 billion ($100 million/ €89 million) in the smart energy business, which was recorded in the previous nine months, also contributed to a profit increase.

In its Solutions Business, sales revenue for the nine months increased by ¥126 billion ($1.1 billion/ €975 million), or 21.1%, to ¥722 billion ($6.3 billion/ €5.6 billion) compared with ¥596 billion ($5.2 billion/ €4.6 billion) for the previous nine months.

Kyocera added that in the Document Solutions Unit, sales of equipment and consumables recovered mainly in the U.S. market.

The forecasts for the full financial year have remained unchanged.
