Ricoh Company, Ltd. has received an “A” rating as part of the CDP’s annual Supplier Engagement Rating (SER) and has been placed on the prestigious CDP2021 Supplier Engagement Rating Leaderboard for the second year in succession.

CDP’s annual SER is designed to evaluate and spur action on corporate supply chain engagement on climate issues, based on the CDP climate change questionnaire. The CDP surveys more than 6,000 companies worldwide. The highest-rated companies are celebrated in the Supplier Engagement Leaderboard.

Ricoh is amongst the top 8% (approx. 500 companies) of the total assessed companies, of which 105 are Japanese.

Ricoh has positioned the “realisation of a zero-carbon society” as one of its seven material issues. Ricoh aims for zero GHG emissions across the entire value chain and aims to establish a zero-carbon society by providing highly energy-efficient products and solutions and actively encouraging business partners to do the same. Ricoh supports its suppliers in their CO2 reduction activities, and its comprehensive information disclosures are internationally acclaimed.

“We are extremely proud of our unwavering commitment to achieving ESG targets and the role we play in helping suppliers to drive environmental responsibility within their operation.” said Mikako Suzuki, Corporate Officer and Head of ESG Strategy Division, Ricoh Company, Ltd. “Climate change is one of the most pressing social issues facing our global society. Ricoh has committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2050 and will continue to promote the realisation of a zero-carbon society through energy conservation activities, renewable energy, and active participation in international initiatives.”
