The company recorded operating income of ¥22.791 billion ($3.45 billion/ €3.27 billion) for its fiscal year 2021.

Nienstar released its financial results for the fiscal year 2021 in which the company recorded a year-on-year increase of 7.94% in operating income. Net profit was up 701.23% up at ¥1.163 billion ($247 million/ €234 million).

Ninestar explained: “Global shipments and operating income continued to grow. Pantum A4 colour laser printers and A4 mid-to-high-speed black and white laser printers were newly launched. The product line was further expanded.

“The competitiveness has been steadily improved, and the scope of overseas business has gradually expanded. The general consumable chip business and the printer main control chip business continued to lead the global sub-industry.”

Lexmark’s full-year EBITDA reached US$273.5 million (€259.6 million), a year-on-year increase of 18%. Ninestar said that the market demand for office printing has recovered significantly, but at the same time, there was global shortage of semiconductor components.

Ninestar added: “The Lexmark supply chain team strengthened the cooperation with the group company to make the out-of-stock parts to minimise the impact. Although unable to fully meet the market’s order demand, Lexmark’s annual printer sales still achieved 14% growth.”
