Metrofuser celebrates 20th anniversary

2023 marks 20 years since Metrofuser was founded and will become a year full of celebrations.

The journey started way back in 2003, meaning that Metrofuser has managed to remanufacture close to one million parts and devices. The company said that today, close to four million people worldwide from just about every country on the planet have accessed its online printer service how to content.

The company reflected on its 20 year journey and said:

“Our printer advisory service has us in contact with our community of users on a daily basis. Over 40,000 service calls drive one on one relationships and the innovation that is harvested from the exchange. Contributions from the community have had a direct impact on performance, with the company named to Inc. Magazine’s fastest-growing companies five consecutive years. It’s a testament to all the people actively making the company better every day.

“Metrofuser would not be where it is today without all of you.

“Contributions from the community have had a direct impact on performance, with the company named to Inc. Magazine’s fastest-growing companies five consecutive years. It’s a testament to all the people actively making the company better every day.”

The company added: “Metrofuser leads with innovation. We identify Original Equipment weak points and invest in solutions to eliminate these failures. Our engineers develop new technologies and custom equipment to automate our manufacturing process. Over the years, these developments have improved the parts we make over and above the level of quality of the OEM part they replace.

“Metrofuser has always had deep field service roots. It was born from the idea of locating the critical service parts 1-2 ground to the largest US metropolitan areas. By its second decade in business the company expanded its portfolio of products to advisory services, whole unit repair and service training. Each additional business unit forces innovative breakthroughs in its core parts business.

“Since its inception the company reclaimed, reused or recycled over 10 million pounds of printer e-waste and other materials and received over 20+ leadership and industry awards.”

What’s next?

In September, Metrofuser announced the development of the world’ s first handheld diagnostic fuser tester. The company said that it is looking forward to rolling out more devices for other top HP printer models. For that, it will be expanding its relationships with imaging manufactures and service organisations.

The company added: “Finally, we understand the need for new and profitable models that continually enter the marketplace. Our engineers are focusing on the latest OEM part designs, specifications and technologies that have been hit the hardest by the recent supply chain shortages.

“Our plan is to bring the newest parts to market fast so you have access to a low-cost, rock-solid alternative to parts often backordered or unavailable from the manufacturer or distributors.

“With every year we see more growth in Metrofuser product usage, and it continues to attract increasing numbers of new, diverse organisations.”

Metrofuser has come a long way in 20 years but the original vision to change the imaging industry still holds true. The company concluded: “We developed parts with engineering upgrades that improve on performance at a lower cost. From the small office colour printing, to large printer fleets Metrofuser is there, and the community has integrated our parts in a myriad IT ecosystems and made it a huge success. Thank you!

“Here’s to another 20 years!”
