Cartridge World Cyprus goes carbon neutral

Cartridge World Cyprus has announced that it has become carbon neutral by offsetting the carbon impact of its business in 2022.

Cartridge World Cyprus has announced that it has made significant strides towards its environmental goals by becoming carbon neutral, by offsetting the carbon impact of its business in 2022, including its own brand ink and toner cartridges.

Cartridge World Cyprus (CWCy) partnered with billion-air.org, an organization that supports ten of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as sustainable energy and reforestation, to help reduce carbon emissions and achieve social development.

CWCy is licensed by the Ministry of Environment to collect and export empty cartridges for reuse or recycling. The company awards all customers who return their empty ink and toner cartridges, with an Environmental Certificate.

Since its inception in 2002, has collected and reused over 750,000 ink and toner cartridges, achieving a zero-waste outcome.

Carbon offsetting is a way for individuals and companies to mitigate their carbon footprint by investing in projects or initiatives that reduce or remove greenhouse gas emissions from the atmosphere. While carbon offsetting can be a useful tool in the fight against climate change, it is not a silver bullet solution and must be used in conjunction with other sustainable practices.
