Bioservice has been selected for the Scale 4 Impact programme, which aims to accelerate social and environmental impact through financing and acceleration of innovative and sustainable solutions to social challenges.

Spanish social enterprise, Bioservice, has been selected to participate in the Scale 4 Impact programme, a social inclusion initiative organised by the Ship2B Foundation and Bikai. The programme aims to support organisations that focus on education and employment, particularly for vulnerable communities, by providing customised support, tailored financing, and access to an impact investment network.

Bioservice is a special employment centre that manages and repurposes waste such as toner and ink cartridges, paper, and electronic devices. In addition to providing job opportunities for people with disabilities, the company contributes to environmental protection. The organisation has over 10 years of experience in the sector and offers its waste collection services throughout Spain.

As one of the 10 selected projects, Bioservice will receive support from a Venture Philanthropy fund of €150,000 ($165,000) and have access to a network of first-rate mentors, strategic partnerships, and impact measurement and management tools. The Scale 4 Impact programme aims to assist organizations with innovative and profitable models that can create sustainable solutions to social challenges.

“We are thrilled to be selected for the Scale 4 Impact programme and we see this as a great opportunity to further develop and improve our business. With the customised support, tailored financing, and access to an impact investment network, we will be able to scale up our operations and make an even greater social and environmental impact. We are grateful for the recognition and support, and we look forward to collaborating with the programme’s mentors and partners to create positive change in our community and beyond,” said Alejandro Pedro, Manager at Bioservice.
