VALORINK increases production capacity

Created in 2010 by Prolaser as a specialised division, VALORINK was designed to collect, sort, and clean printer cartridges.

The company said it now recovers more than 10 million empty cartridges every year in over 3,500 office supply stores in Europe and recycles 930 tons of plastic per year. The cartridges are sorted, inspected and cleaned before being reintroduced into the distribution circuit as a circular economy product.

In the light of getting recently involved in robotics (line automation), the company has increased its production capacity to afford the attention of new market shares worldwide.

“As we were eager to promote our commitment to sustainability and circular economy across Europe, we decided to go with a cutting-edge industrial machinery upgrade and a team of experts to give the collection stage a boost. That stage is but the key part of repurposing used cartridges and reintroducing them as circular economy products into our distribution channels,” explained Adeline Loignard, Head of sales at VALORINK.

At Prolaser, the VALORINK division is run by a team of over 20 employees. “Our strength resides in the fact that important quantities of cartridges are processed by people,” Loignard added.

Part of the processing is that each cartridge is sorted by serial number and inspected to ensure its good condition before being deemed eligible for reuse. VALORINK recycles all types of empty inkjet cartridges. Every cartridge selected for production is an inkjet print head in flawless condition, the company added.

Cartridges which cannot be remanufactured at VALORINK are sent to company partner Ecosystem, certified since 2019.

VALORINK also includes a digital platform, which has recently been revamped in order to incorporate new features for both French and European customers. VALORINK matches its performance with the digitisation of its services and guarantees a pickup in any European country within 48 hours.
