ETIRA President, Javier Martinez to present at The Recycler Live conference and talks about the changing landscape and a whole lot more.

As the business landscape undergoes rapid transformations in response to the urgent need for sustainability, it becomes crucial for companies to navigate the evolving market and understand the implications of critical initiatives and regulations. To shed light on this dynamic environment, a seminar titled “Navigating the Changing Landscape: Exploring Green Deal, the Net Zero Act, Circular Economy, Sustainability Regulations, and Market Impacts” at the upcoming The Recycler Live conference in Barcelona, this upcoming 15 – 16 June, will delve into the profound influence of sustainability on businesses.

One of the primary focal points of the seminar will be the Green Deal, an ambitious plan that aims to propel Europe to become the world’s first climate-neutral continent. Attendees will gain valuable insights into the objectives, policies, and opportunities the Green Deal presents. Javier Martinez, President of ETIRA (European Toner and Inkjet Remanufacturers Association), will provide expert analysis and explore the transformative impact of the Green Deal across various sectors, including energy, manufacturing, transportation, and services.

“The Green Deal is a significant milestone in Europe’s commitment to combat climate change and foster sustainable growth,” states Martinez. “Understanding its implications and leveraging the opportunities it presents will be instrumental for businesses to thrive in this changing landscape.”

Additionally, the seminar will explore the Circular Economy Action Plan, a crucial framework designed to shift from a linear “take-make-dispose” approach to a circular economy that prioritizes resource efficiency and waste reduction. Participants will gain a thorough comprehension of the Circular Economy Action Plan and the Net Zero Act, which aims to ensure that by 2030, at least 40% of Technology produced in Europe aligns with sustainability goals. This discussion will highlight how these initiatives can foster innovation, encourage sustainable practices, and unlock new business opportunities.

In addition to the Green Deal and Circular Economy Action Plan, the seminar will address other influential factors shaping the market. These include the Extended Producer Responsibility (ESPR) framework, Green Claims regulations, Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) revision, and the Digital Service Act. By exploring these topics, attendees will gain valuable insights into the regulatory landscape and the obligations and opportunities they present for businesses.
