The imageRUNNER ADVANCE ES series complements the established portfolio of refurbished devices and consists of at least 90% used parts.

The printing, copying and scanning systems offer both black and white and colour printing and the functionality of Canon’s imageRUNNER ADVANCE Generation 3 printers. The new series, ES stands for Environmental Series.

Canon Deutschland said: “The launch is a further step in Canon’s goal to reduce environmental impact and contribute to the circular economy. This includes using parts and materials from across the portfolio for longer. The new imageRUNNER ADVANCE ES range supports this commitment, as remanufacturing involves re-installing at least 90% of previously used parts.”

The new ES range “improves on and builds” on the success of the imageRUNNER ADVANCE EQ80 range, Canon’s current remanufactured offering, which consists of at least 80% reused parts.

The ES range currently consists of two products, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5560i ES+ and the black and white printer 4545i ES, which are remanufactured at Canon’s Gießen facility. The imageRUNNER ADVANCE Generation 3 printers are disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, tested and then rebuilt. Once rigorous quality standards are met, these systems are available at a lower price than brand new equipment, the company added.

The ES range supports on-demand printing and ensures reliable and productive performance for the modern hybrid workplace. The design fits seamlessly into new and existing print fleets and helps companies to work more sustainably.

With a remanufactured internal finisher, booklet finisher and staple finisher, the range also extends the life of the accessories.

Patrick Bischoff, Director Marketing & Strategy at Canon Germany, commented: “We are aware of the responsibility that we bear as an industrial company for climate protection. That is why we offer our customers a range of options. This includes new devices, but also refurbished and refurbished devices. We contribute to the circular economy by selling parts and Keeping materials in use longer. With built-in features that help businesses run more efficiently, customers can benefit from a first-class device that, of course, like our new products, comes with a full warranty.”
