With the new search filter on the homepage of amazon.de, customers can search specifically for products from small businesses.
Since December, customers can search specifically for products from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on amazon.de – using the “Small Business” filter, which is available directly on the homepage.
This is how the search filter works: Customers first enter the search term on Amazon – e.g. “Christmas presents”. The list of results then gives you the option to further filter the search results – for example by delivery speed, product category and price. The “Small Business” filter has now been added. If this is selected, only products whose providers meet the criteria for the “Small Business Badge” will appear.
“We are working to help small businesses across Europe reach more customers on Amazon. This new search filter makes it even easier for customers to support small sellers in their country,” said Xavier Flamand, VP Europe Seller Services at Amazon.
Amazon had already introduced the “Small Business Badge” some time ago, which identifies products sold on the marketplace by SMEs that are brand owners based in Germany. The collected offers from SMEs are also available at www.amazon.de/Kleineunternehmen.
There, customers can find out more about the people behind the products through videos and portraits. “We enable our customers to easily support SMEs and find them on the Amazon Marketplace,” said Markus Schöberl, Director Seller Service at Amazon. “You can not only make yourself happy by shopping, but also your sales partners.”
