The printer OEM issued a statement earlier this month, warning consumers that it was aware of counterfeit products being sold in the market.

The statement said that the selling of counterfeit consumables “is not only deceives consumers and harms the interests of consumers, but also seriously damages our brand image.”

In order to protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, Pantum stated:

“In order that consumers can enjoy the product quality, product safety and other after-sales service protection rights and interests that we supply for Pantum original brand, when you purchase Pantum original brand product, please recognise the “PANTUM” brand and purchase from the authorised distributor, official stores, flagship stores, exclusive stores, franchised stores and other formal channels and stores.

“We will continue to crack down on counterfeit products and purify the market environment. Meanwhile, we encourage all parties to actively provide clues about counterfeit dens and merchants selling counterfeits.”
