Michael Rabbe has been appointed Managing Director of Epson Deutschland GmbH, effective 1 January 2024.
The 49-year-old previously headed sales for all business areas of the company based in Düsseldorf as Country Manager. Rabbe takes over from Henning Ohlsson, who is retiring after more than 20 years as managing director at Epson.
The German branch of the Japanese technology company employs around 300 people. Epson Deutschland GmbH covers the sales areas of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
“Epson is a promise of quality,” said Michael Rabbe, Managing Director of Epson Deutschland GmbH. “Thanks to our high-quality technologies, our committed team and our long-standing, trusting collaboration with our customers, we are very well positioned for the future.”
Rabbe began his Epson career 15 years ago as Business Systems Sales Manager. In 2016, as Head of Business Sales, he took over the management of the corporate end customer team and specialist retail sales for Epson business printers, scanners and projection solutions. Epson said that in this role, he laid the foundation for the successful placement of energy-efficient Epson business inkjet printers in offices as an alternative to laser printers.
Rabbe added: “From a business perspective, it is important to remain agile and live up to our social responsibility as a company. The yardstick for us is to have our own claims checked by third parties. We do this continuously: be it in the area of ??sustainability through the certification of our SDG management system – a first in the industry – or the response from our customers to Epson’s successful concepts such as the EcoTank. For us, remaining future-oriented means that we and our team are continually working on new concepts and business models that give our customers the decisive advantage.”
