Urgent Travel Update for Remanexpo and Ambiente Attendees

A rail strike is scheduled from the 24th to the 29th of January 2024 and may affect your upcoming visit to Remanexpo.

Due to a rail strike scheduled from the 24th to the 29th of January 2024, disruptions, including irregularities and partial cancellations, may impact long-distance, regional, and suburban train services across Germany. We strongly recommend verifying your specific connections before departure via the Deutsche Bahn website for real-time updates.

Despite these disruptions, Germany’s robust transportation network offers alternative options for reaching Frankfurt. Alternative rail services such as Vias, HLB, Flixtrain, and long-distance buses remain operational. Flight connections to Frankfurt Airport (FRA) are available globally, and the city is readily accessible by car.

Upon arriving in Frankfurt, the fairgrounds are conveniently reachable via underground, tram, shuttle bus, or car, all within minutes. Detailed arrival and accommodation information is available on our website’s “arrival and stay” section.

For those heading to the exhibition centre:

S-Bahn lines S3, S4, and S5 continue to operate to the “Frankfurt Messe” station, albeit with potential strike-induced delays and cancellations. Please consult Deutsche Bahn’s emergency timetables available on their digital platforms.

From Frankfurt’s main train station:

“Festhalle / Messe” station is a short journey from the main station, situated at the “City Entrance.” Additional entrances such as “Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage” and “Congress Centre” are also accessible to ticket holders, and the “Festhalle Süd” entrance on Brüssler Strasse is available for exhibitors.

  • with the underground line 4 (in the direction of Bockenheimer Warte),
  • with the tram lines 16 and 17
  • on foot in ten minutes: the spired top of the Messeturm tower makes it easy to find your way. A few steps away is the “City Entrance”.

From Frankfurt Airport:

  • The Messe Frankfurt shuttle runs every 10-30 minutes from the bus station at Terminal 1 to the fairgrounds (Portalhaus). The journey takes approx. 15 minutes.
  • Take a taxi to the “City Entrance” (halls 1-6), “Portalhaus Entrance”, or “Galleria Entrance” (halls 8-12). Check our exhibition grounds to see which entrance is best suited for you.
  • All major car rental providers are at the airport: Car Rental Center (frankfurt-airport.com).

Arriving by car + Parking:

  • Follow the integrated traffic management system signs for the most direct route to Messe Frankfurt.
  • Parking is available at the “Rebstock” multi-level car park, from where a shuttle service will transport you to the fairgrounds.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your understanding. Safe travels, and we eagerly anticipate your presence in Frankfurt.
