Brother supports Ukraine relief efforts

Brother makes additional donation for Ukraine crisis and UN refugee relief efforts.

Brother Industries, Ltd. announced that it will donate an additional ¥10 million ($66,139/ €60,725) in humanitarian aid for the Ukraine crisis and ¥10 million ($66,139/ €60,725) to support refugee assistance activities of the UNHCR, the UN refugee agency via Japan for UNHCR, for a total of ¥20 million ($132,278/ €121,450).

The donation will be given through the UNHCR to support relief efforts in Ukraine as well as the UN’s protection and assistance measures for refugees.

Brother as a group donated €500,000 ($544,558) in March 2022 and ¥20 million ($132,278/ €121,450) in March 2023 to the UNHCR for humanitarian assistance in Ukraine and has now decided to provide additional support in response to the prolonged crisis in Ukraine.

In light of the current global situation where the number of people forced to flee their homes due to conflict and persecution is increasing every year, Brother said it will also donate to refugee assistance efforts.

The company added: “Brother hopes that the people of Ukraine can soon live in safety and return to their normal lives and that peace will be restored to the world.”
