The OEM has filed a suit against a former employee who went on to work for a competitor and did not return customer information.
According to PennRecord the company filed its suit against Zelienople resident and former employee, Teresa Natoli, on 12 December 2017 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. The complaint alleges breach of contract, as well as other counts.
The complaint revealed that the plaintiff, Konica Minolta Business Solutions, had “employed the defendant at its Pittsburgh branch”, where she resigned from her role as Area Vice President of Sales on 7 September 2017 and began working for Canon Solutions America (described as a competitor) on 11 September 2017.
Konica Minolta “holds Natoli responsible” because she “allegedly violated the employee agreement she signed” by “working for a competitor in the same geographic location and providing the exact same services and for failing to return confidential customer information in her possession.”
Konica Minolta is seeking a permanent injunction against Natoli, including “damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants.” The company is being represented by Donald S.
