BLI has revealed the winners of its Winter 2018 Pick Awards in the Monochrome Printer and MFP categories.
Following on from the announcement of its prize winners in the Colour Printer and MFP categories, BLI has now unveiled the names of the four vendors which snagged its coveted Winter 2018 Pick awards in the Monochrome Printer and MFP stakes.
Awarded twice annually, Picks acknowledge the products that gave the best performances in BLI’s extensive suite of lab tests in the previous six months.

HP’s Enterprise-Level printers and MFPs were awarded Picks for their excellent reliability in testing. “The HP LaserJet Enterprise M608 and M632 Series models offer superb performance and usability for enterprise environments,” said Marlene Orr, Director of Printer & MFP Analysis for Keypoint Intelligence – Buyers Lab. “These HP models offer a large, highly intuitive touchscreen panel, the ability to automate multi-step workflows, and robust security features, like encrypted secure print, integration with HP JetAdvantage Security Manager/Private Print, and run-time intrusion detection, plus robust management and high-yield cartridges to help keep costs low.”
Kyocera was recognized as an outstanding performer in the small workgroup category. “Robust and reliable, the KYOCERA ECOSYS P2040dw and ECOSYS M2640idw are compact, affordable, and gave an exceptional overall performance,” said Tony Maceri, Senior Test Technician for Keypoint Intelligence – Buyers Lab. “And with excellent reliability and simple maintenance procedures, users can expect minimal downtime.”
The Samsung ProXpress M4560 Series proved to be an ideal choice for mid-size workgroups. “In our testing, the Samsung ProXpress M4560FX offered flawless reliability, a user-friendly design, and very fast speeds, especially when scanning, which mean maximum uptime,” said Orr. “The large, Android-style touchscreen makes programming simple and lets users download a variety of apps to help businesses streamline workflows and save time and money.
