Epson adds RIPS to WorkForce Pro WF-C5000 series

The OEM introduced new WorkForce Pro WF-C5000 series with next generation replaceable ink pack system (RIPS) technology.

Epson America, Inc. announced the new WorkForce Pro WF-C5000 series, powered by PrecisionCore printing technology. The printers feature Epson’s replaceable ink pack system technology in a new compact form which according to the OEM factor for a streamlined, efficient workstation.

With a print speeds of 24 ISO ppm (black/colour) and a fast first page out with no warmup time, the WF-C5000 Series drives productivity says Epson America Inc. The printers can print up to 5,000 ISO pages without changing the ink packs, and minimise user interventions with auto two-sided capabilities and large paper tray capacities up to 830 sheets with an optional second paper tray.

“Epson recognises the needs of busy workgroups and continues to deliver innovative products to help drive productivity,” said Larry Trevarthen, director of business imaging, Epson America, Inc. “By bringing some of the advanced technology featured in our WorkForce Enterprise Series MFPs to our WorkForce Pro A3/Tabloid class of printers, and now down to the desktop workgroup class of printers, we are extending our advanced technology features throughout our portfolio.”

With Epson’s Replaceable Ink Pack System technology, an intuitive user interface and nozzle verification technology previously introduced on the WorkForce Enterprise Series MFPs and the WorkForce Pro WF-C869R, the WF-C5000 Series is built for productivity. The series also provides advanced security features and is enabled for remote printer data collection.

Through Epson Open Platform, Epson has expanded its support for ISVs such as Nuance Equitrac Office/Express, Nuance eCopy ShareScan, PaperCut, and nddPrint.

The WorkForce Pro WF-C5000 Series is now available through authorised BusinessFirstSM resellers.
