The United States International Trade Commission has issued a seizure order on behalf of Lexmark against Hangzhou Aiyuan Supply Chain Management Co. Ltd.

The Recycler has seen court documents revealing that the US International Trade Commission has issued a Seizure and Forfeiture order on behalf of Lexmark International, Inc against Hangzhou Aiyuan Supply Chain Management Co. Ltd, located at Taz Shan Road No. 23 Hangzhou ECO, Hangzhou, China.

The order was filed on 12 February 2018 and concerns “the importation of articles covered by the Commission’s general exclusion order issued in September 2011 in Certain Toner Cartridges and Components Thereof Inv. No. 337-TA-740.”

Initial research seems to indicate that Hangzhou Aiyuan is an import and export company which exports a variety of products to America, but no further details are available at this stage.

This is the first seizure order filed this year. Seizure orders are a relatively common occurrence in the industry, with 72 being issued in 2016 and a number of orders being issued in 2017.
