Epson deal offers years of ink?

The Japanese OEM’s latest printer is being advertised by one Dutch retailer as coming with three years’ worth of ink.

The Recycler has been made aware of an advert offering Epson ECO Tank ET-2700 inkjet printers as part of a deal which also provides the buyer with three years’ worth of ink.

The deal is currently being advertised within the Netherlands, although it is unclear if it has come from the OEM itself, or if the advertised promotion is being made by an unconnected third-party retailer.

Describing it as a “low-maintenance printer”, the advertisement for the A4 machine reveals it is currently being retailed for €175 ($215).

The three-year-supply offer is reminiscent of Brother’s recently launched XL Extended Print monochrome laser printer, which came with two years’ worth of toner. However, in that instance, the extensive toner supply was provided by the OEM, and not via third party.
