The company have hired the Cambridge-educated former Apple man as its new head.

EO Group has announced the appointment of John Browett as its new chairman.

Browett has previously served as the CEO of British retailers such as Dixons, Dunelm, and Tesco.com, as well as being Global Vice-President at Apple Retail. He has also held non-executive positions at both easyJet and Octopus Ventures.

The appointment comes shortly after the news that EO Group has acquired the independent office supplies dealer Eurostat, and in the midst of a time of change for the company, with dealersupport.co.uk reporting that “the organisation has ambitious plans for the future,” including opening new routes for leveraging its technology.

Browett, who holds an MBA for the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a degree in zoology from Cambridge University, said of his appointment: “EO Group is already an incredibly successful organisation, but its plans for the future growth and development of all of its brands will take it to the next level. I’m honoured to be a part of the next chapter in the EO story and I can’t wait to draw on my experience working with successful retail and technology brands to help drive it forward.”
