How thermal printheads work, with HP

by | Mar 7, 2018 | 0 comments

HP Inc. has released a video detailing their thermal inkjet printhead, and how it works.

The video, uploaded to LinkedIn by one of the OEM’s engineers, explains the concept of HP Scalable Printing Technology, and describes scalability and high-density nozzles as two of the concept’s key features.

It also offers a close-up look at the printhead’s drop generator, and shows what will happen on the page itself after you hit print. It also explains that the printhead featured can produce 150 million drops per second, with some designs producing more than 300 million.
