Artist Benjamin Von Wong is using his art to highlight the problem of e-waste, in the hope of inspiring people to make more effort to tackle the situation.
In a partnership with Dell, Von Wong worked with fifty volunteers over ten days, to create a set of images using 4,100 pounds of e-waste; the goal, according to Fstoppers, is “to make recycling e-waste cool.”
The website reports that Von Wong “would love to see more people fighting for what they believe in through their art” and that he believes “the hardest part is starting and committing.”
To encourage others to join the conversation, Von Wong is sending limited edition postcards to the first thousand people to share pictures of their own e-waste awaiting recycling, using the #rethinkrecyclerevive hashtag, as well as giving away three prints of his work.
