ADVEO to shut Winkelhaid warehouse

European office equipment supplier ADVEO has announced it will close its warehouse in Winkelhaid, Germany, as part of its Strategic Plan 2017-2020.

The plan is aimed at “transforming ADVEO into the European Platform for Workspace Solutions,” according to The Office Times.

The closure will result in the loss of approximately 50 jobs, and will adhere to an agreed social plan resulting from negotiations with local employee representation bodies, such as the works council and trade unions.

The company said the decision was motivated and justified by “economical, productive, and organisation factors” and will come into effect by the 20th of April. Its base in Höver will become 2the new logistic pole in Germany”, and will “guarantee a high level of service and promptness in delivery, while maximising synergies in Europe that are adapted to the market evolution.”
