Ricoh Company, Ltd. has been awarded “Prime” status, a Sustainability rating by the German company, Oekom research AG.

Oekom Research is a rating agency working in the field of sustainable investment. In the Community and Environment category it comprehensively assesses enterprises according to criteria selected for each industry, and recognises as “Prime” enterprises those companies that stand for excellence in their particular industry.

Ricoh revealed that it was also listed for 14 consecutive years in the “FTSE4Good Index Series,” the FTSE Group (UK) index for socially responsible investing. It was rated as Gold, the highest level, in the sustainability survey conducted by EcoVadis (France), consecutively since 2014. Ricoh explained that it defines the ideal sustainable society as one that satisfactorily maintains the Three Ps Balance – Prosperity (economic activities), People (society) and Planet (environment). To achieve this, Ricoh vows that it will “continue to provide new value to stakeholders through its corporate activities and will endeavour to resolve social issues.”
