Office Depot, Inc., an omnichannel provider of business services and supplies, products and technology solutions, has signed a channel partner agreement with MicroCorp, a value-added distributor of telecom and cloud solutions.

This marks the expansion of Office Depot’s partner program, bringing its IT services offering to channel partners.

“Office Depot delivers enterprise-level managed service solutions, right sized for small businesses. Our IT-as-a-Service offering includes network services, security, operations services, device management, virtual CIO consulting and so much more,” said Heather Tenuto, Vice President of Sales, SMB services for Office Depot, Inc. “The new partnership with MicroCorp is yet another proof point of Office Depot’s shift from a primarily product-based company into a product and services-driven enterprise that leverages our omni-channel platform to provide a wider range of solutions for customers.”

MicroCorp has been simplifying the purchase and management of telecommunications services for business customers for more than 30 years. Through MicroCorp’s People Powered Network, value-added resellers (VARs) will offer Office Depot’s cost-effective managed services to all markets and have the power to deliver enterprise-level technology solutions, designed specifically for SMB customers.

VARs and agents will benefit from Office Depot’s national reach and fleet of 6,000 field technicians, made available through its acquisition of CompuCom, an enterprise managed service provider. This introduction of ground-breaking IT services will complement a partner’s existing portfolio, giving them the autonomy to control and transform their own business model.

“Office Depot’s shift to an omni-channel approach in delivering to ITaaS demonstrates how technology and the Internet are impacting traditional ways of doing business,” said Phil Keenan, President of MicroCorp. “We are thrilled to be involved in their initial launch, bringing more innovative ways for our partners to transform their businesses.”
