The IT products distributor has added a specialised unit for the solutions of Epson, its manufacturer partner, to its redesigned business unit structure.

According to CRN, the “expanded collaboration with the printer, scanner, and projector vendor” means the distributor has now grown its dedicated Epson Commercial Portfolio team, to a total of five employees.

The specialised unit now covers purchasing, marketing, sales, and business management functions; as a team, it will offer individual advice and support to partners both in the retail and the SMB business.

The team, a division of Ingram Micro’s Printer & Accessories Group, will be led by Claudia Huber-Völkl, Ingram Micro’s Senior Manager of Business Unit Peripherals.

“The market position of Epson in the business products is of great importance for us to continue to grow in the IT channel together with Epson in the future,” Huber-Völkl said. “And that’s not just the idea of value, which is anchored in Epson’s Business Imaging and affiliate programme.”
