Epson Australia has announced the addition of two new inkjet printers to its WorkForce Pro range.

The WF-C5290 and WF-C5790 can printer up to 10,000 pages in monochrome, or 5,000 page in colour, without the need to change supplies, according to the OEM, as reported by Channel News. They also boast “a zero second warm-up time, and a fast First Page Out Time of less than seven seconds from sleep mode.”

They come with a range of Epson software, and are designed to suit various vertical markets such as small businesses and schools. They are also said to be suitable for a mobile workforce, due to supporting WiFi, Google Cloud Print, Apple AirPrint, and the Epson-connect app.

Craig Heckenberg, Epson Australia’s General Manager for Sales and Marketing, said: “They are ideal for small businesses and companies who may have traditionally used laser printers and now want to cut costs, increase productivity, reduce downtime and be kinder to the environment.”

Additionally, they are described as “low-power units” which the OEM claims use 96 percent less energy than “comparable laser models.”
