In April 2018, Brother Industries, Ltd. marked the 110th anniversary of its founding.
Brother started its history in 1908 as a company providing repair services for sewing machines. Since then, the company has been diversifying its business to respond to the changing times and business environment, according to the OEM, and has grown to a global enterprise operating in more than 40 countries and regions, offering a “diverse product portfolio” which ranges from printers and all-in-ones to industrial equipment.
The company’s President, Toshikazu Koike, issued the following message:
“I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the continued support and patronage of all of our stakeholders.
Since starting as a company providing repair services for sewing machines in 1908, Brother has created various products with the “At your side.” spirit, which always places customers first.
Brother is currently working on the medium-term business strategy “CS B2018” under the theme of “Transform for the Future.”
In FY2018, the final year of CS B2018, we will further focus on “Business, Operational, and Talent” transformations and strive to become a multi-business enterprise with resilient DNA and a track record of success that continually evolves to deliver profitable growth by meeting the challenges of changing times and environments.
