The OEM’s New Zealand subsidiary has appointed its first ever country manager.

Bruce Koefoed has become OKI Data’s first New Zealand country manager, after the OEM announced his appointment this week, reports ChannelLife NZ.

Auckland-based Koefoed will take on responsibilities for “propelling market deployment of OKI solution offerings across New Zealand,” as well as being head of a team of resellers offering ongoing customer service and support.

He boasts over two decades of sales, management and product marketing experience in the Kiwi IT market, having previously served as General Manager for Fuji Xerox New Zealand’s printer channel, before becoming its Strategic Sales Manager.

Koefoed has also held positions at Onesource, U-Bix Document Solutions, and Laser Plus, becoming Managing Director of the latter.

“We are delighted to have Bruce on board with the team in New Zealand,” said Alex Kawamura, Managing Director of OKI Data Australia and New Zealand. “He joins OKI at a time when our customers need solutions and support to help them stay ahead in an age of digital transformation. His knowledge and experience will be critical to OKI’s growth and success in the region.”

The OEM has had a direct presence in the Pacific nation since October 2015, and now has a reseller network providing technical and sales support to its customers across the nation.
