The Korean company has published a notice concerning Lexmark’s latest firmware update.
The firmware upgrade means there will be problems with how effectively TN Core’s latest compatible chip works, and therefore the company has asked its customers to not proceed with the firmware upgrade for MS/MX monochrome printers, following reports of problems.
“If you upgrade the printer, the original reset chip by iPROG will not work as well,” TN Core warns. “As long as you don’t upgrade the firmware of the printers, you can still use all chips without issue.”
The company has also pledged to release an updated compatible chip soon.
