OEMs clean up in BLI Summer Pick

Keypoint Intelligence – Buyers Lab (BLI) has announced the winners of its Summer 2018 Pick awards for colour and monochrome printers and MFPs.

The testing services and analytical information provider revealed the claimants of its twice-yearly honours, with OEMs Brother, Canon, Lexmark, Sharp, and HP taking home the glory after BLI’s extensive suite of lab tests over the last six months.

HP was the big winner, with victory in multiple categories: Outstanding Colour Printer for Small and Home Offices (for its LaserJet Pro M254DW); Outstanding Colour MFP for Small and Home Offices (for its LaserJet Pro MGP M281FDW); Outstanding MFP for both Large Workgroups and Enterprise Environments (its LaserJet Enterprise MFP M631 series and M633 series, respectively); Outstanding Printer for both Large Workgroups and Enterprise Environments (the LaserJet Enterprise M607 and M609 series, respectively); and the Outstanding Ink Printer for Enterprise Environments (for its Pagewide Managed Colour E75160DN.)

HP’s septuplet of awards was completed with two awards in Outstanding Achievement in Ease of use, for its Accessibility Assistant and its Smart Print app.

Canon was the second most successful OEM honoured, picking up a brace of prizes in the Outstanding Printer for Small and Home Offices category (for its Imageclass LBP214DW/LBP215DW) and the Outstanding MFP for SMBs category (for its Imageclass MF525DW.)

Brother, Lexmark, and Sharp made up the rest of the winners: Brother took home the award for Outstanding MFP for Small and Home Offices, for its MFC-L2750DW; Lexmark won in the Outstanding A3 Colour Printer for Enterprise Environments, for the CS923DE; and Sharp was awarded Outstanding MFP for Mid-Size Workgroups, for its MX-B455W.
