Ricoh refutes more newspaper claims

This time, the OEM has had to clear the air regarding a supposed new factory which a newspaper reported it was establishing in China.

Ricoh announced this week that a newspaper had reported that the OEM was constructing a new factory in China.

This prompted the following response from Ricoh:

“This has not been announced by Ricoh. Ricoh continually evaluates opportunities for structural reforms to further enhance its business growth.

If we need to make any announcements in this regard, we will do so in a timely manner.”

This is not the first newspaper article Ricoh has had to refute this year; in March, the Nikkei Asian Review published a story regarding “possible structural reforms” at the OEM, to which Ricoh made the same response.
