HP opens flagship Cape Town store

The OEM has recently opened a flagship store in Cape Town’s Canal Walk megamall, the sixth branch of its kind in South Africa.

HP’s other South African outlets are located in Sandton, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban.

The new Cape Town HP Store will “offer the full range of computer hardware”, as Vamers reports, in addition to “a premium service including various financing options, free computer set up, and data transfers in-store or at home.”

The store’s staff will also provide advice on HP products.

Despite the fact that there is “negativity at the moment around investing in ‘brick and mortar’ retail stores”, HP South Africa’s Channel Sales Manager, Michael Van Lier, is confident that these stores still serve an important role.

“‘Engaging’ is the one word we want to use to describe our approach”, van Lier explained.
