The OEM’s South African subsidiary has appointed Warren James Lock as its new Corporate Sales Manager.
Lock holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing and Business Management from Oxford University, and started his sales career in Document Management Solutions at Nashua back in 2000. From there, he moved to Bytes/Xerox headquarters in Johannesburg, as a Product Marketing Manager, before moving to Canon South Africa in January of 2012. There, he held various positions in Marketing and Sales, before being promoted to Sales Management in 2015.
Lock has said his career highlights include representing some of the biggest global brands in the Document Solutions space, as well as being a “consistent performer,” who contributed to growing market shares and revenues across the various roles he has performed over the last eighteen years.
2015 saw a turning point in his career, when Lock moved from a Marketing role back to Sales and Sales Management, which he says “re-energised him in unexpected ways,” and helped him to rediscover why he enjoys technology, customer interaction, the local industry and its uniqueness so much.
The move to Kyocera Document Management Solutions South Africa is described by the company as “a natural fit for his enthusiasm and skills,” which include relationship-building, people skills, collaboration and planning capabilities, ICT knowledge, and extensive experience with traditional marketing.
Lock himself said: “With Kyocera’s international and local focus on digital transformation, I am excited about co-creating a future where we are even stronger than we are today. The Kyocera team is strong, dynamic and motivated, and has my full commitment.”
