The Texan imaging solutions firm will rebrand as documentWORKS as a result of the takeover.

Parent company DOCUmation was founded 31 years ago, and provides Managed Print Services and document management across Texas.

Both it and its new purchase are authorised resellers for various OEMs, including Ricoh, Kyocera, Lexmark, Canon, Dell, HP, and Konica Minolta.

documentWORKS will continue its operations in the Dallas and Fort Worth areas, as well as Houston and Austin, according to The Cannata Report.

“The addition of documentWORKS to these markets is a great opportunity for us,” said DOCUmation Co-President Preston Woolfolk. “It means continuing the growth we’ve experienced on the software solutions side of the business while expanding our presence and major account opportunities throughout our dynamic state.”

Woolfolk continued: “The acquisition strengthens our core competencies on the IT side of our business. Further positioning us as a one-stop solution and a valuable business partner for our customers.”
