Armor marks International Safety Week

The company has focussed on health, safety and the environment to mark the annual event.

It is the second successive year that Armor has dedicated its week to the initiative, and this year, more than 200 employees from across Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Canada, and the USA mobilised to do their bit.

The week featured workshops, entertainments, events, conferences, and the exchange of good practices, according to Armor. Employees were also offered consultations with doctors, dentists, and opticians, whilst dieticians and nutritionists led presentations, discussing healthy eating and the benefits of regular physical activity.

A special awareness session focussing on musculo-skeletal disorders (MSDs) also took place.

The week also provided the opportunity to raise environmental awareness among employees through training modules, with combatting climate change and recycling being the two main issues covered.

Held every year, the week is designed to raise employee awareness of subjects relating to occupational health and safety and to draw attention to particularly pressing environmental concerns.
