As Christmas approaches, The Recycler has done its bit to help those in need at this special time of year.
Foregoing the usual tradition of a lavish Christmas party, and instead of distributing Christmas cards far and wide across the globe, The Recycler this year has taken the decision to make a generous donation to charity, in order to improve the lives of those who are struggling this season.
The recipient of this goodwill is the United Kingdom-based organisation The Salvation Army, popular in Britain for their ubiquitous brass bands, which play in towns and cities up and down the country every winter.
As well as providing shelter and meals for the homeless, the Salvation Army also works with elderly and isolated people, offering companionship, compassion, and advice. Although locally-focused, they are an international organisation, with a presence in more than 130 countries worldwide.
“At this time of year, it’s particularly important to be aware of those less fortunate than ourselves,” said The Recycler’s Managing Editor, Stefanie Unland. “The Salvation Army do brilliant work in local communities, across Britain and the world, and we as a company are only too pleased to be able to make a contribution this Christmas, so that they can continue helping those in need.”
