The branch of Staples located in south Bismarck will be shutting its doors permanently as of this month.

As reported by hot975fm, a sign posted on the store’s window declares “Your Staples store is closing on 2/22/2019”.

There were only two Staples stores located in North Dakota; one in Minot and one in Bismarck. The Minot branch was also closed down earlier this month, and with the Bismarck store now permanently closing its doors, Staples will no longer be found in North Dakota.

According to KFYR, a prime factor behind the closing of the Minot store was “the store’s performance and shoppers switching to online shopping”.

These latest closures are the most recent in a series of store shut-downs which have been taking place across the United States over the past few months, as Staples reduces its bricks-and-mortar presence in the country.
