Epson ME in recycling partnership

Epson Middle East has announced it is collaborating with Enviroserve to help recycle e-waste, giving customers a “safe and secure” disposal solution.

Thanks to the partnership, old printers and other e-waste will be recycled, or destroyed safely, in order to protect the environment.

“Enviroserve will collect unwanted equipment from our customers and use them for recycling or dispose them in an environmentally safe way,” said Jeroen van Been, Director of Sales, Epson MEA, adding that “sustainability is an important aspect of our business, and we invest in developing environmentally conscious products.”

“Last year we were awarded a Gold rating for overall sustainability by independent platform EcoVadis for the second year in succession,” van Been continued. “Being a sustainable company means being mindful of every aspect of our organisation. It fuels our innovation, drives our growth, motivates our workforce and is a key factor in how we work with our partners across the supply chain.”

Enviroserve, which recently launched state-of-the-art electronic waste processing facility The Recycling Hub in Dubai Industrial Park, will also fulfil the collection service for Epson’s recently launched recycling promotion campaign in the UAE, whereby all customers purchasing an Epson printer or projector can trade in their old printer or projector for free and receive a certain amount of cashback. The aim of the programme is to reduce the number of old products in the market and give customers an option for recycling their e-waste whilst also enjoying some cashback offers.

“Epson’s leadership, vision and commitment to sustainability is inspirational,” said Stuart Fleming, CEO of Enviroserve. “We are honoured to be their trusted partner and to support their environmental goals.”
