Quocirca has released its Global Print Security Landscape Report 2019, revealing the primary print security concerns of SMBs and enterprises.
As Quocirca explains, “Organisations are continuing to suffer print-related data loss incidents, and most are still not confident their print environment is fully protected. These factors point to a critical need to educate C-level executives on the strategic value of effective print security as part of a broader information security strategy.”
The Quocirca report involved a survey of 250 organisations peppered across the US, UK, France and Germany, each one having over 250 employees.
In an infographic revealing the key findings of the report, Quocirca unveils the findings that 72 percent of organisations are concerned about print security breaches, with only 24 percent reporting confidence in the protection of their print infrastructure.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, 77 percent of organisations surveyed are increasing their financial investment in print security.
In terms of breaches, 59 percent of the organisations suffered at least one print-related data loss, with 32 percent of these incidents caused by internal users.
MPS is described by Quocirca as “an enabler” for effective print security, with the report revealing that 76 percent of organisations using an MPS are “considered print security leaders.”
In addition, 40 percent of organisations are using pulling printing to “mitigate risk” and 39 percent have carried out assessments of their print security.
